I created a set of filters to redirect messages into multiple subfolders . This was more than a year ago and they continue to do what they are supposed to . I recently added a new filter and noticed that all my previously created filters do not show up in the list of filters , only the one i just created . Let me repeat that the old filters ARE working , i don't know how . I looked at the msgFilterRules.dat file in my profile and it only lists one filter . I looked around for another dat file but couldn't find anything relevant .

Suggestions anyone ?

Filters are defined for each account, so there is a msgFilterRules.dat in every account subfolder of Mail, ImapMail, News, Mail/Feeds and Mail/Local Folders, e.g. Mail/pop.mail.yahoo.com, ImapMail/imap.gmail.com. If the hidden 'working' filter isn't in one of those places, it must be defined on the mail server and acts before mail is downloaded or synced to TB.

Ok Thank you . Slightly embarrassed by senior moment here.

I was going to check my ISP's mail filters but I have "crystal clear" recollection of doing it thru thunderbird . What's worse i even reinforced my own conviction by being sure that mail on my phone was unfiltered . Completely deluded . Filters are setup on mail server .
