my firefox browser mallfunction, i can open it but it cant operate at all. just blank, already reset the firefox but still cant operat

firefox doesnt work. cant open new tab, when i input address then press enter, nothing happen. just blank like that. Already try reset it, but still. already update to latest version but still, alrady update and restart window but the problem still there. pls help.

Hi Benyburhans, I'm sorry to hear about this problem.

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

even in safe mode it still have the same problem, just blank like screenshot that i attached. even i can't close firefox by clicking on the red cross on the corner, but i can close it by right-clicking on taskbar and select close or by task manager.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
