How to delete Hangouts from Mac 10.6.8 using Firefox 48.0.2?

There are a whole bunch of things called Hangouts.
If it is a Extension, disable it if it can not be deleted.
I was remiss; not enough information about my problem. It is Google Hangouts, which shows up in the bottom left corner of my Firefox Gmail screen, which I desire to delete.
