How can I make Thunderbird stop putting all incoming emails into the "Important" file?

I want to keep only emails important to me in my "Important" file but Thunderbird dumps every incoming email into that file. How can I make it stop doing that? If I can't, how can I delete the "important" file? I'll use another name for a file of important emails, then.
