Firefox just keeps flashing in and out, to a black screen, started several days ago.

Several days ago when i rebooted my computer, and went to Firefox, my default, the screen started flashing in and out of a black window. As i am typing right now it goes black about every 1/2 second and then comes right back. None of the other browsers i have is having any issues.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.

  • Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
  • Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
