My emails arrive with crazy characters inserted throughout. I see this when I get a reply. Also, recipients of my emails complain they are hard to read and don't make sense. What can I do to prevent this from happening again? Should I download Mozilla Thunderbird again? I need to fix this or will have to switch to a different email program. I've used Thunderbird for years and this is only a recent problem.

I don't know what that means exactly. However, it is not necessarily a Thunderbird problem.
Should I download Mozilla Thunderbird again?
That wouldn't change a thing and you'd just be wasting your time.
