How can I change my Thunderbird language (the software)?

My OSX is in Portuguese and therefore my Thunderbird is in Portugues as well. What I want is to find a way to change the language of my Thunderbird to English. I'm not talking about the dictionary, I'm talking about the software itself. Anyone know how to do it? Thanks!

Chosen solution

You need to download and install an English-language version of the Thunderbird program. I'd start here:

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all/

Note that your messages and settings are stored separately and so won't be affected by changing the program.

You could even install both the English and Portuguese versions and choose which to run, but you'll need to explicitly save/install the English version to its own location. By default any new version will overwrite the previously installed version.
