Date: 2015/07/01 I like to report problem: Adobe Shockwave Flash version stayed at 11.2.202.235 even though I ran flashplayer18_ha_install.exe (latest version) multiple times.

My laptop#2: Running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit, Windows Update all applied My browser: Firefox Beta 39.0

Steps I have taken:

I used https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ and found out that my Adobe Flash Player is old version. BTW nice work to Mozilla on the plugin checker! So I tried to update Flash Player. I went to Adobe and downloaded the installer nicely but the download stalled. To those who are experiencing the same thing, I learned that I must enable javascript in Internet Explorer to download the Flash executable. I have 2 laptops. Laptop#1 (Windows 7 Home, 64-bit; Firefox Beta 39.0) installed Flash Player correctly and has the latest version 18.0.0.194. Firefox plugin checker shows that it is up-to-date.

My laptop#2 (Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit; Firefox Beta 39.0) however, after I ran flashplayer18_ha_install.exe I went back to Firefox Plugin Checker and Shockwave Flash is still pointing to 11.2.202.235.

I even went into Control Panel and uninstalled all Adobe executables. Then I installed fresh copy of flashplayer18_ha_install.exe and the program ran. However Firefox Plugin Checker still tells me that Flash Player is out-of-date. I restarted laptop#2 multiple times, cleaned my registry, and still no luck.

Since I have 2 laptops and one was successfully updated, the problem is due to either Adobe or Mozilla. It could be Adobe's problem if flashplayer18_ha_install.exe is not running properly in Windows 7 Professional. Or it could be Mozilla's problem if Firefox Plugin Checker is not pointing to the latest version of Flash Player I installed. Though there should not be any trace of old version since I did removed all Adobe executables from Control Panel. I must have deleted and reinstalled Flash Player at least 6 times. Your time looking into this problem is much appreciated.
