I want to associate a mail with a specific calendar event. Is it possible?

When receiving an email regarding, say, a meeting next week, I would like to associate the mail with the meeting in my calendar. Can it be done? Is there a plugin or function that I've overseen?

Calendar programs (such as Lightning) support sending meeting invitations via email. If you get such an invitation, it includes an attachment with the extension .ics

You can then save and import that .ics file into your calendar.

You can right click a message and select Convert To then select Event or Task. Not sure if that will do what you want.

No, what I had in mind was something like Entourage's ability to associate things with one another - if I have a meeting monday next week and receive email and create tasks regarding that meeting I would like to be able to associate all this correspondance with that calendar event. So that I will see somehow easily everything that has been said about the meeting when i need to.
