In the last few days when I launch Mozilla Firefox I get directed to www.trovi.com and I wouid like to stop this. I don't like it & don't know how it happened.
For about a week or so now, when I launch the Mozilla Firefox browser it comes up not looking a all like Firefox but has a path which starts as: www.trovi.com/...................................... and has a lame window below which either wants me to load Windows 7 drivers or else it comes with an ugly before and after picture of a woman's face.
I do have a very good virus protection program, so I don't know how this has happened but it is very annoying and I would like to find out how to fix this. I did go into the internet options and set items in each tab to disable anything that looked foreign and rebooted but I still get this weird address when I am trying to run my Mozilla Firefox browser. I hope someone can help.
Thank you.

Hi Irene,
You should always pay attention when installing software because often, a software installer includes optional installs, such as this adware. Be very careful what you agree to install.
Adware gets on your computer after you have installed a freeware software (video recording/streaming, download-managers or PDF creators) that had bundled into their installation this browser hijacker.
You can use the below steps to revert back to adware-less Firefox.
1) Reset Prefs
- Navigate to about:config in your Address Bar
- Press the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button to proceed
- Search for trovi and reset all prefs that pull up by right clicking > Reset
2) Remove any programs that you don't recognize or remember installing from your Control Panel (Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program)
3) Remove any extensions that you don't recognize or remember installing from Firefox.
- Firefox 29 and above:(Press the menu button (The image "new fx menu" does not exist. > Add-ons > Extensions)
- Firefox 28 and below:
> Add-ons > Extensions)
4) Download ADW Cleaner to wipe out any remnants of the adware.
