Hi ghaziii, You can try to disable scrolling acceleration in the Settings menu. However there is a scroll line feature that you can minimize as well.

It is called toolkit.scrollbox.horizontalScrollDistance the default is 5

Did you try to close and restart Firefox (Firefox > Quit) or reboot the computer?

hello are you serious this is the first thing any one should do I tried that 10 times still the same thing when ever I press any key it automatically scroll down to the bottom of the page it is really bothering me now.

Hi ghaziii, cor-el is asking to reboot because sometimes preference changes are applied after a reboot. Normally you should not have to go into the about:config page to make changes. Its like a piano, unless you are a bored musician, you do not have to change the strings under the hood unless you are a piano tuner. In the about:config page you can change the defualt lines scroll. In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :

1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
3. change toolkit.scrollbox.horizontalScrollDistance to a smaller number and reboot.

hello guigs, yes I understand and I changed the toolkit horizontal and vertical amount to 1 and it keeps doing the same thing scrolling down to the end of the pages what should I do next !! if you know and thanks
