Two-step authentication adds extra security by making it harder for someone else to log in to your account, especially if they steal your password.
After you enable two-step authentication, when someone attempts to log in to your account with your password, Firefox will also ask for an authentication code from your authentication application for proof that it’s really you.

Now that one of the applications is installed, we can set up two-step authentication in Firefox:
#Click on the menu button [[Image:menu button retina|width=25]] at the top right corner.
#Click Firefox Accounts from the menu (it will show your email address if you're signed in).
#Click {menu Manage Account}. The Firefox Accounts Settings page will open.

#Open the authentication app of your choice.
