A few options: 1. Let the other person use another profile on that computer. 2. Let the other person use the same device profile, but create a new Firefox profile for them to use. 3. Backup your bookmarks, save them to your device, and then delete the bookmarks as they appear in Firefox. A few days later, you can simply import the bookmarks back into Firefox or use the Restore bookmarks feature.

    Being I'm not too computer savvy I need some more info Mark.   You said, "let the other person use another profile on that computer". Can you please explain that further, Mark.  How would I do that?  The second option, using the same device profile but creating a new Firefox profile.  Can you please explain the details in how to do so, Mark?   Appreciate your help.

Hi Mark, it seems Firefox has a way of showing the reply in a perpendicular way. So, I resent my reply to you. Hope it isn't confusing. Being I'm not too computer savvy I need some more info Mark. About the first option: Assuming you are on MacOS, you can read https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/add-a-user-or-group-mchl3e281fc9/26/mac/26 for the steps on how to add another user. (I shouldn't have called it a profile, that was inaccurate). I assume that when you close your computer and then reopen it, you will be asked to choose a user account to login to before being able to access anything. So, when you create a new user, you can reserve it for another person to login to when they use your computer. After logging into a new user account, you will see everything that was there when you first bought the computer. The point of having multiple users is that, generally, actions done in one user account will not affect the other user accounts.

About the second option: In a new Firefox tab, search up "about:profiles" in the address bar. There will be a button allowing you to create a new profile. After it is created, you can click on "Launch profile in new browser". It will appear as Firefox right after you first installed it. There won't be any extensions and all the settings will appear as their default values. Note: Make sure you don't remove profiles unless you are absolutely sure you want to delete them.

Hi Mark, appreciate your reply. When I close my iMac I put it to sleep, I don't shut it down. And therefore I don't choose a user account. When I start the the computer I just load the Firefox icon, ( app) from the dock at the bottom of the screen and off I go browsing. I do the same thing if I use a different browser. So, I'm loading sites by just clicking on the icon in the Imac dock after I turn on my computer. I'm not selecting a user account, Mark. After fiddling around on my iMac I did create a new Firefox app. it is in the dock as well. And, I can load it just by clicking the icon in the dock. But, now I'm tying to figure out how I can remove the "original" Firefox app from the dock so only the newly created Firefox app appears. While I certainly can by clicking "quit", I'm not sure how I can get the "original" Firefox to reappear in the iMac dock at a later time. I certainly don't want to lose my original Firefox and all its info I have stored there. So, I guess while I have created a new Firefox profile I'm just bewildered how to not lose my original Firefox that appears on my computer screen, without losing it forever, but not seeing it when I don't want it shown. Any suggestions, Mark? Yes, I now realize this is a Apple issue and maybe not a Firefox issue but any help you can give, much appreciated. Thank you, Mark
