Why can I no longer paste images/gifs into the body of a Hotmail email when using Firefox?

I have always been able to right click on an image or gif and then paste it into the body of my email. However, I can no longer do that. The option when I right click to paste isn't greyed out, it's just that when I click it, nothing happens. Likewise, keyboard shortcuts do not work either. I have tried pasting the same images/gifs into Word and it worked and I tried pasting in IE and it worked, so it appears to be a Firefox issue. I've never had this problem before. I am using Firefox 32.0.1and Windows 7.

Hello ymda, Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).

Restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button New Fx Menu, click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

Thank you

I restarted in safe mode but that didn't help the problem, it still happened.
