Firefox is causing issues with site logins that are Case sensative by using a stored ID that is not case sensative and changing the login name.

I have tried clearing that sites login information, but it still auto-changes the login, and I have no way to edit the stored info to use the correct case.

I have seen others report the same issues, and the most popular response is correct: THIS IS A BUG!

Of all the FF issues I have lived with in the last 6 months, this is the deal breaker. Fix the issue or I, my support staff, and clients will go elsewhere for our browser needs.

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop down list:

  1. Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  2. Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  3. Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Make sure that you haven't saved multiple (uppercase, lowercase) versions of that name and password.
Remove saved Password(s):

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
