I lost so many old messages because your default is to delete messages older than 30 days
I had heard that Thunderbird is a great ad-free alternative and I started using it some time back as an alternative to direct Yahoo or GMail use. I did not know that your default is to delete (from the server also!) mail older than 30 days!!!
I've had medical and financial records and other things that I've kept for years on my Yahoo account that are just gone due to your settings. Is there any way that I can recover messages from certain folders?

Where did you see a setting that mail is deleted after 30 days? Can you post a screenshot of it?
