Whyy does Firefox 153.0 x64 crash when clearing history. NOT the "Forget" funtion, simply "History - Clear History - clear everything" it crashes 3 out of 4 times clear history is implemented.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted (and Unsubmitted, if any) Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

As it turns out, the CRASH occurs WHILE CONNECTED ON A WEBSITE (such as https://www.apnews.com) then CLICK THE HOME PAGE ICON - THEN CLICK HISTORY - CLEAR RECENT HISTORY and CLEAR EVERYTHING, FIREFOX CRASHES and a "REPORT TO MICROSOFT WINDOWS" (or similar) NOTICE pops up then the ONLY WAY to close out the CRASH is to CLICK the CLOSE BROWSER X TOP RIGHT of the window.

These crash reports are from May and older, so they might not be exactly related (they sound like having trouble shutting down) — do you perhaps have any current ones that you can submit, and post their IDs here? Thanks!

Those were, and are, the only crash reports on my puter, so, it must be that the combination of Firefox 153.0 x64 and Microsoft's most recent Windows Update FOR DELL PUTERS ONLY created a conflict that only registers as a Windows CRASH although the CRASH(ES) described ONLY happen running Firefox 153.0 x64 and Windows 11 x64 Dell Special Update, NOT Google Chrome OR MS EDGE, so, of course I thought it MUST be a Firefox issue but since Firefox is NOT recording crashes it's gotta be Microsoft issues. Sorry to have bothered you, again. I'm calling this not relevant to Mozilla, Firefox or anything else but MS W11 x64 on a Dell Laptop. Bye, and Thanks for the efforts. OH1943

I am having this exact same crash when clearing history, and I'm on macOS (Tahoe).

Jeffrey, could you please open a new question so that your own diagnostic data is captured properly? Once you do so, I'll ask you to try running some experiments to help pinpoint where this comes from. (Supposedly this is new for you, started happening only after some version update?)
