How to use Mozilla VPN on Chromebook

James beäntwurde

Before purchasing, I verified that Mozilla VPN will work on Chromebook (shown on the FAQ page for the VPN). Since I can't install software on a Chromebook, how do I go about using Mozilla VPN on it?

I don't recall explicit support, could you help pointing to the page where you saw it listed? (It's not included in Is Mozilla VPN compatible with my device? …)

I think there might have been ways for Android–based Chromebooks, and also installing the Linux version in ChromeOS terminal, but these are not exactly supported paths…

Thanks, but I just installed the Mozilla Android app on the Chromebook and it's working. I was trying to opening this ticket to mark it closed, but the forum wasn't in the mood to cooperate at this time.

Yes! If your Chromebook is able to run Android apps that's definitely the way via Play Store or direct bundle download.

Glad you sorted it out — the answer marked is also helpful for future reference and searches for this topic so that was a great call — Thanks!

This is a community support forum and not a ticket or direct chat system.

It is possible to use the Firefox for Android and a few ways to install the desktop Linux version of Firefox on ChromeOS even though Mozilla does not support ChromeOS. So it can be plausible to install the Android version on ChromeOS though the options for Linux version is more limited.

No mention of ChromeOS on https://www.mozilla.org/products/vpn/download/ either.
