I updated to Firefox 141.0 and now Google Maps is not working correctly. When I look for directions the map does not show the route. If I go to street view I get a black screen. Google maps is working fine on Edge or Google on the same pc.

Hi kecctime,

Thanks for reporting this issue with Google Maps after updating to Firefox 141.0. Since it works fine in Edge and Chrome on the same PC, it’s likely related to Firefox settings or compatibility.

Here are a few steps you can try:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies for Google Maps and reload the page.
  • Make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in Firefox: Go to Settings > General > scroll to Performance and check "Use recommended performance settings" or enable hardware acceleration manually.
  • Try disabling any extensions that might interfere with Google Maps, especially privacy or ad-blocking add-ons.
  • Test Google Maps in Firefox Safe Mode (restart Firefox with add-ons disabled) to see if the issue persists.
  • Check if your graphics drivers are up to date.
  • If none of these help, consider filing a bug report on Bugzilla with detailed information about your system and Firefox version.

Let me know if you need help with any of these steps!
