Hello, I think I may have asked about this in the past but cannot recall if I received an answer. Under Settings, I get the message "Your browser is being managed by your organization." This is my home computer and is not being managed by any organization. When I click for more information, it gives me a screen with the following information:

Policy Name Certificates

Policy Value ImportEnterpriseRoots

                         true

If I could get more information on this suspected error, or how to correct it, that would be great. Thanks!

Great. Sounds like it's time for Linux.  ;-)) If no further questions, mark it as resolved and have a nice day.

What OS? If windows, what security software besides MS Defender are you running? If you're running Windows Pro version, I would test in the Sandbox to confirm. https://www.howtogeek.com/399290/how-to-use-windows-10s-new-sandbox-to-safely-test-apps/ See if this helps. https://winaero.com/remove-your-browser-is-being-managed-by-your-organization-from-firefox/

Hello, I have Windows 11 Pro. Currently do have Norton 360 but do NOT have any Norton extensions. I have DuckDuckGo, 2FAS, and Proton Pass extensions so maybe one of these is the culprit? However, I tried running Firefox in Safe Mode (hold shift key while starting Firefox), and the message was still there under Settings, "Your browser is being managed by your organization." I have not tried the Sandbox yet--would I start that up and copy the firefox.exe file into the Sandbox?

Thanks for the help!

I blame Norton for this issue. You download and install Firefox in the sandbox to test. Did you follow the steps from that winaero site? Here's info from norton's forum https://community.norton.com/t/norton-adds-importenterpriseroots-policy-for-firefox/351117

Hello! You are definitely correct--this is exactly where it's coming from. I did follow with winaero steps as well and found the "importenterpriseroots" in the registry editor. when I deleted this, the "browser is being managed by your organization" message disappeared. I suspect it will probably return after I restart my computer. I feel better at least knowing what it is! I do plan to get rid of Norton when my current term is completed--tired of getting bombarded by ad/emails/pop-ups from the company that is supposed to be blocking this stuff for me!

Have a good day and thanks again!
