Outbox unsent message count missing
Ever since Thunderbird got updates to 115 the unsent message count in the Outbox folder is not showing anymore. There is no way to know that there are messages sitting in the Outbox unless you go into it.
Also, since 115 broke the Get/Send Button extension, at the very least there should be a way to add a Send button to the main TB interface window. Otherwise every time you need to send unsent messages sitting in the Outbox you have to go through menus which is really annoying.
Thank You!

Enable 'Show Total Message Count' in the Folder Pane Header (View/Folders) (click the ...) to see the number in the Outbox. Right-click Outbox, Send Unsent Messages.
Thank you sfhowes. However, the "Total Message Count" shows all the emails in all the folders regardless if they were opened or not. The Outbox used to show unsent messages (since they were not clicked on to be opened) just like the Inbox and Drafts show in the attached image. It no longer does that since version 115.
I think the reason for this is that since ver. 115, when an email is added to the Outbox via send later (shift+ctrl+Enter) it is added as a "read" message. They used to be added as Unread and therefore the count of unread messages used to show in the Outbox folder.
I think it makes more sense that Outbox messages are 'read', since they have been opened and read while being written. So the number is only visible along with the totals in other folders. Maybe it would be an enhancement to show the total/unread counts on a per folder basis.
I understand your logic. However, the way it was prior to 115 was better because that number showing up was a reminder that you have messages to send. With the messages marked as Read and the number not showing up the user may forget (like I do) that they have messages siting in the Outbox that need to be sent. I know I'm not the only one complaining about this, I read 2 other posts elsewhere where people gripe about the same thing.
