So I did an oopsie by changing my outlook email alias and forgetting to update it on firefox. Now I can't log in because the verification code sent at login is being sent to a nonexistent email.

So you don't remember your Firefox login? Firefox doesn't uses alias but email to login. alias doesn't change your email address AFAIK. So then how are you loging and posting on here if your saying you lost your login to firefox.

This is a new account that I just created to ask for help. I changed the alias on my outlook account which was the login email for my firefox account. I completely removed the old alias which means that that email doesn't exist anymore. I changed all of my other accounts everywhere but unfortunately I forgot about firefox, which I was using during that whole operation.

Alias isn't used to login to Firefox account. I always have to input my email and password to login. Your screen name can be changed to not show your email as such.

Outlook uses aliases for their emails. You can add and remove aliases which can change what your email is. If you used an alias to sign in somewhere and you've removed that alias from outlook, you can no longer receive mail on that alias. For example if you create an email abc@outlook.com then create a firefox account with that email. Then change this email's alias to def@outlook.com firefox will still send confirmation emails to abc@outlook.com which doesn't exist anymore.

I'm sorry that I'm not explaining this well. The aliases are changed on outlook, so firefox doesn't know about them at all.

I need help folks, all of my passwords are stored on that account.

Hi

We will not be able to access your Firefox Account. Do you have the data on another copy of Firefox or a backup of your Firefox profile?

No I don't think I have either of those. I fully reinstalled windows. How can I get my account back?

Hi

You may not be able to as you may need access to the old address to be able to change it.

Firefox Sync is designed to sync data between copies of Firefox, not as online storage and changing the email address will delete any data that is being synced between copies of Firefox.
