Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Trash, Outbox show up twice on Tbird -- under the Bellsouth POP heading and also under Local Folders. I don't know why. Can I just have them show up once under the Bellsouth POP heading?

because local folders is a special account and has account folders, even if you do not use them they are there. And no you can't delete them.
