Bookmark this page process has changed (Firefox v83.0 Mac). I cannot choose where to save the bookmark because no screen appears where I can navigate to or select a destination. Then when I try to edit this bookmark, the edit screen only flashes briefly and disappears, giving me no means of editing the name or destination.

This has been occurring for 2 days as of 12/03/20.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
