Hi, I googled something and then clicked on one of the search results to visit the website, then I got a Popup from my windows firewall "Windows Defender Firewall has blocked some features of this app". I checked and it was a real window from the firewall and not a spoofed message from the website. What exactly was Firefox trying to do? This is not a fresh install of Firefox and I use Firefox very often, this never happened before. I'm scared that it might be a zero day vulnerability and that my computer got infected. Or is this normal behavior and Firefox does this type of things sometimes?

Hi,

I am not a regular Windows user, but this popup is asking you if you would like to give Firefox access to the internet.

You may find this when installing apps that connect to the internet, or if a non-internet program (such as java when you run Minecraft multiplayer) would like to connect

Have a good day,

Andmagdo

Edit: this is asking you, because you authorized Firefox for private networks (such as your home internet), but not public networks (such as Starbucks)
