I have been using Thunderbird for at least 10 years. I have 5 email accounts. Two weeks ago one email account will not let me send emails I can receive ok. Yesterday another email account began refusing to send or receive emails. I get this message when trying to send an email; "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again"

Have you tried logging into these accounts using web mail? Often providers block mail clients to force you to use web mail so they can show you some message or other. Google do it frequently.

What mail provider?
