I open Firefox and it shows as open on the task bar. I hover off the icon and it shows the Firefox screen but will not expand past that. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it and updated it to no avail. I cannot open it in any screen except when I hold my mouse over it.

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to this hidden location:

  • Mac: *~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles
  • Linux: *~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles
  • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
  • *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Search for the above files. Then rename or delete them. Restart Firefox.
