when using Ebay in Firefox, it switches me to google, does not occur in Explorer

When I am viewing lots on Ebay, in Firefox only, moving from one part of the lot to another, to check the description, I keep being flipped to a New Tab in Google. This does not happen in Explorer. Why does it do this in Firefox? This has been happening for the last two weeks, as far as I know, with no other change. Firefox is normally quicker and more convenient, but not with this fault. I need to check through all parts of the descriptions, either to buy, or to gain information for a book I am writing, and this error prevents me.
