I have been troubleshooting for about an hour and nothing has worked yet. So I have about 20 bookmarks in the "Bookmarks Toolbar" library thing. When customizing, I drag the bookmarks toolbar tab to its usual area, and the words "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" appears, but once I exit customization, its empty. Nothing to click. Bookmarks Toolbar is checked during customization. I have dragged it around, re-installed Firefox and nothing. It seems like Firefox is not recognizing I actually have any bookmarks to display, regardless of how many I have just now made.

If "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is positioned on the Bookmarks Toolbar then you should see the bookmarks located in the folder on the toolbar.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
