see double messages in Sent and Drafts folders

Good Morning to you.

In the last two months, I have sent messages to recipients. To my horror this morning, I found that the emails I have sent are being duplicated in Drafts. This has never happened before. The funny thing is that the Sent messages are repeated about 2 to 4 times, and different time intervals, all in Drafts!

Please help! This is too much work - delete, delete,

Are you using Gmail? There's a particular issue with Gmail that causes this behaviour. The 'auto save drafts folders' extension for Thunderbird promises to address it -- read the documentation. (I rarely use Gmail so I don't encounter the problem myself.)
