After the download, you need to run the installer.

Will I find the installer in my downloads?

I had the same problem. The problem went away after I updated my FF to the latest version. Currently I am on 42.0 and flash works.

You could give this a try and see if that fixes the problem.

If you downloaded a file, it should be in your Downloads Folder. If you are not sure, press <Control> J to open the Download Manager. Find the entry, right click on it.
