My emails are showing the margins, fonts, line spacing and the  symbol. How can I fix it. It is in my new emails and trash emails. Help please

Those are character encoding issues usually. View menu (alt+V) > Text encoding... Unicode ifs the usual default. although Western is popular. You just have to guess to right one.
Mail going to junk suddenly is often the result of junk filtering either on the providers mail server or more frequently a junk tool included in the anti virus suite. The one in Trend get more than it's far share of comment.

right click the folder, select properties and then the repair button.
Thank you Matt. This did fix most of my emails, but I still have that funny looking  on some old messages. I thought it had to with allowing/no allowing other fonts?!? This is only showing up on old emails. Any ideas. Also why does my thunderbird now think all my emails are junk or the message thunderbird has blocked remote content in this message. This is happening in all my messages that never happened before. I now you can click on each one individual to say they are not junk or to allow all messages from a certain message. I believe I found a spot you can unclick junk or something like that, but is this safe!!!! Thanks again for your help!!!
