I have used speed dial as my home page for years. I set it on options page and it works fine till I close Firefox. Then it reverts to that stupid about new web page. I have to reset the home page every time. This is annoying. How do I get rid of this problem?

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
