Suddenly my "inbox tab" no longer appears on the top left corner of the screen when I want to return to the inbox view of all emails after reading an email.

I have 2 computers and this problem now exists on both of them. My normal home screen shows my e mail accounts on the left sidebar, and the emails from the inbox (or whatever box I select) on the right side. I click on an e mail to read it and when finished, like to click on the "INBOX " tab which is usually at the top left of the screen. The tab is no longer there. In order to return to my normal home page, I need to click on the small caret on the top right which brings up a menu of the last screens shown, and then click on the inbox line. How do I get back to my original view which always has the inbox tab on the top left? Thanks.

Are you closing the message tabs after reading them or do you have so many tabs open that your Inbox tab has pushed off the screen? Get in the habit of closing the message tabs after reading them or better yet turn on the Message Pane and read the message there and do not open in a tab. Pressing F8 when in the Inbox will turn the message pane on.

If you have lots of tabs open, right click one of them and select Close Other Tabs. Then use the x on the last tab to close it.
