After sleep mode, Firefox windows cannot be restored
After a 15 minute process to get into this account to make this post (seriously, can't our email addresses be our login? I don't live here and don't have this stuff memorized) I am finally posting this problem that has been driving me nuts for.... I'm going to say at least 2 months now.
If I minimize my Firefox windows, allow my Windows 7 computer to go to sleep, and then awaken my Windows 7 computer, I often cannot get 1 or more Firefox windows to restore. I will see it in the little thumbnail files that appear when I click/hover on the main Firefox window on the bottom but when I click on the mini preview window it will not restore.
I have just installed Firefox 4827, oh wait, it's really only Firefox 13 (gotta love how every minor update is now its own major version number revision) I actually expected the bug to be corrected in this "major" revision update but like the massive memory leak of the early days this bug was not fixed either.
I do not have any additions (that I'm aware of on this Firefox) so I don't believe the usual passing-the-blame onto he user fits here.
I am losing patience with this and unlike the days of that massive memory leak in the early few YEARS of Firefox there are other viable alternatives to Windows Explorer today. I will be moving to Chrome if this is not fixed and fixed soon.

Ok, let's try a couple of things.
New if Firefox 13 is a Firefox reset feature, which, while saving all your personal information and data, it will reset all of Firefox's settings to their defaults. I'd encourage that you try this first. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this: Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers.
Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/.
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.
