My mail handeling is set to Standard but keeps reverting to Strict.
Hi, I have a problem with hundreds of Casino type emails filling up my spam folder so I asked AI for help. AI suggested I change my mail handeling from Standard to Strict. Ever since then it will not stay on Standard, it keeps reverting to Strict every time I try to revert it back, therefore all my wanted emails go straight to Spam. I need to check through heaps of Casino emails and take out my wanted emails which is so annoying!! How can I change it back so as it stays changed? I will not ask AI for help ever again, it was working fine until I changed it. Ugh.
I am not sure how to find out what version Thunderbird is, how do I find out please. It should be up to date as I have everything set on automatic up date.
I use an HP Laptop, windows 11.

You can check version by clicking Help>About. Your reference to standard and strict seems to relate to some product other than Thunderbird.
Hi David, thank you for your reply. I did work out how to find Thunderbird version, thank you. Not sure what you mean by some product other than Thunderbird? I use Thunderbird for my Outlook , Bigpond and Gmail accounts, Outlook is the only one I changed the other two work just fine.
I am not sure what to do now, I have tried closing Thunderbird and retrieving my emails on Outlook on the web to no avail. I change the mail handling from strict back to standard, close the web mail, reopen and it is back to strict!! So I am guessing that Thunderbird is not to blame?
I hope someone can help with a solution, I am over trying to pull the emails I want out of a hundred or so casino emails in the spam folder.

Where are you setting standard and strict? That is a function not in Thunderbird. If you are also reading mail on the web, that may be where you're doing that. From a quick websearch, it seems to be a Microsoft setting you did for the Outlook account from within the MS website, not Thunderbird.
I went to Outlook on the web, settings, Junk mail, mail handling to change from standard to strict because I was having problems with casino emails. Then all my emails went to spam and it would not stay on standard. Thunderbird does not have the settings to change mail handling.
Maybe I should go to Microsoft for help.
