i was forced to use the Profiles Wizard to create a Profiles; when i finished all my Brookmarks had disappeared.
6/21/26 This morning I could not open my FireFox browser, unless i created a Profile. I was forced to use the Profiles Wizard to create a Profiles; when i finished all my Bookmarks had disappeared. Which was a great shock, had lots of Bookmarks in Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, & Other Bookmarks, I need to get those Bookmarks back !! >>More info: I had Hibernated my Dell 15 laptop overnight. This morning when I turned on the laptop, I got the above message that I had to create a Profile, which I did, which made all my bookmarks to DISAPPEAR !! I need them back!

type about:config in the URL/address bar to see your profiles.
You may be able to access the older one
Otherwise go to the folders indicated, open the profiles to find bookmarkbackups etc.
6/25/26 I followed directions re about:config. What resulted was worst - All the NEW bookmarks I created since 6/22/26 when I was forced to do the Profiles Wizard in order to open my Firefox browser, all my New Bookmarks also disappeared! AND - searching for the so called AUTOMATIC BOOKMARK BACKUPS that was supposed to be created AUTOMATICALLY, I found NO AUTOMATIC BACKUPS! I have been using Mozilla FireFox browser for more more than 30 years, this is the WORST experience ever with Fire Fox or ANY computer experience. ALL WORK HAS BEEN LOST!! REQUIRING TO DO THE PROFILES WIZARD WAS & IS A VOMIT INDUCING DISASTER !! I NEED THE BOOKMARKS THAT TOOK ME MORE THAN 30 YEARS TO ASSEMBLE !! ~ EDMOND piejunk@gmail.com
