VPN isn't working. I'm in Italy for a week, but live in the US and want to sign up for NordVPN in the US today. But, NordVPN wants to charge me Italian tax, and must therefore know my location.

How do I show that I'm in the US?

You can manually choose your VPN location to set it on the US. Check out the Choose a VPN location section from the Use built-in VPN in Firefox article.
