How to adblock on IOS
Hi,
The question may asked for a lot but... I have a Mozilla account with about 1000 bookmarks, years of hystory and tons of passwords, in brief, i'm locked to Mozilla ecosystem.
Someone gifted me an ipad, so my first thing is to install FF on this to enjoy the web as i like (without ads btw).
As always on new devices, i've looking for uBlock Origin wich is the only serious adblocker on the market.
What a deception to see that it's not possible to install any extension on IOS...
Yes, i can use the ublock "extension" for Safari but then i cannot sync with my other devices.
Guys i dont know what to do, all my data is on my Mozilla account because i trusted them for years, but my iPad suddendly goes unusable because the web with ads is unusable and the web witout my Mozilla account is unusable.
What about a fork with uBlock integrated by default ?
Thanks a lot

There's no extension support on iOS. The only way to limit the number of ads is to set Enhanced Tracking Protection to Strict.
Orion browser does it well, so... Let's implement that instead of useless AI features ?

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. When a Mozilla employee jumps into a discussion, you'll see the Mozilla Staff label next to their name.
If you wish, you can leave feedback for developers on the Mozilla Connect website. Click the Firefox Menu
button in the toolbar, click Help and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback is collected by a team that reads it and gathers data on the most common issues.
You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.
Due to Apple's restrictions on what browser engine can be used on iOS/iPadOS the Firefox browser uses Webkit as the browser engine base instead of Gecko as the desktop and Android Firefox uses.
Hi, After some searches, it seem that Apple allow third party brower engines in EU/Japan for non-jailbroken devices. Take a look to this project, wich the goal is to implement Gecko in a simple browser (for now).

Will also work on jailbroken devices, useful to getting a decent web experience for those are not updated anymore.
