Password Manager (about:logins) is completely blank.

Hi,

I’m experiencing the following issue:

When I open Password Manager (about:logins), the page is completely blank.

This problem started about three months ago, after I updated Firefox to a newer version.

Currently, on the about:logins page, I can export all my accounts and passwords as a CSV file (so the data clearly exists), but nothing is displayed on the page itself.

I also tried importing the same CSV file (exported from about:logins) back into Firefox. After importing, all accounts and passwords appear in the left panel. However, when I click on any item, the right panel is still blank. If I close the page and open about:logins again, the items still do not load.

My current Firefox version is 147.0.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks!

Hello. Maybe you are in a new profile. Verify by going to about:profiles in the address bar. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles

Do you have your data on another device?

@jonzn4SUSE Thanks for the follow-up.

I have three profiles in my environment: default, default-release, and dev-edition-default. I’ve attempted to switch between each profile and reboot the browser, but the issue remains.

Regarding account settings, I have never used the Sync feature, nor have I ever logged into a Firefox account within the browser. I do not use Firefox on any other devices; it is exclusively used on this local machine.

I have also researched various troubleshooting methods on Reddit and these support forums, but unfortunately, none of them have resolved the problem on my computer.

Yeah, sounds bad. This is just a shoot in the dark, but how about trying a different version of Firefox(Beta, Dev, or Nightly) Make sure to install in a different directory than your current install. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/

Maybe it will import your data from your current install.

Does Firefox saves the logins in logins.json in the Firefox profile folder? Firefox comes with a JSON viewer (about:config->devtools.jsonview.enabled= true).

You can use the button in "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).

Hi everyone, Just wanted to give a quick update on this. I tried all the methods suggested in the replies earlier, but unfortunately, none of them worked at the time.

However, a few days after the most recent software update, I happened to check the feature and realized it’s suddenly working perfectly now. I’m not entirely sure what fixed it behind the scenes, but I wanted to follow up and let you all know the outcome. Thanks to everyone who tried to help!
