Can't log in to Yahoo on FF anymore (esr)
I haven't been able to log in to Yahoo on FF esr for 2 weeks. I never had issues before and I can still log in with other browsers on the same device (windows computer).
Until today I was able to get a verification code sent to my email (which I accessed by logging in with another browser and inputting it into Yahoo on FF) but that stopped working.
I tried FF in troubleshoot mode & private browsing window, I've always had FF set to clear cookies/cache on closing EXCEPT Yahoo but I also tried deleting the Yahoo cookies and it made no difference, my email on FF settings has ALWAYS been set to Yahoo. I made absolutely no changes to any settings before it stopped recognizing FF.
I can't contact Yahoo because my 30-year-old email is a free account.
Why is Yahoo no longer recognizing FF (esr)? Is this to do with the most recent update?? I don't know if this is a Yahoo issue or a FF issue (but obviously there's something about FF Yahoo doesn't like). I don't know if this is affecting anyone else but it's REALLY frustrating because now I have to open a second browser just to check my email.

I haven't been able to log in to Yahoo on FF esr for 2 weeks. I never had issues before and I can still log in with other browsers on the same device (windows computer).
Until today I was able to get a verification code sent to my email (which I accessed by logging in with another browser and inputting it into Yahoo on FF) but that stopped working.
I tried FF in troubleshoot mode & private browsing window, I've always had FF set to clear cookies/cache on closing EXCEPT Yahoo but I also tried deleting the Yahoo cookies and it made no difference, my email on FF settings has ALWAYS been set to Yahoo. I made absolutely no changes to any settings before it stopped recognizing FF.
I can't contact Yahoo because my 30-year-old email is a free account.
Why is Yahoo no longer recognizing FF (esr)? Is this to do with the most recent update?? I don't know if this is a Yahoo issue or a FF issue (but obviously there's something about FF Yahoo doesn't like). I don't know if this is affecting anyone else but it's REALLY frustrating because now I have to open a second browser just to check my email.

Is there a way to roll back to the previous esr version, you said you had 115.28? (I have 115.29.0)
UPDATE: I am now able to log in to Yahoo from Firefox. I never had this issue before so since you could log in with 115.8 I suspect it was something to do with version 115.9. The other day there was an update to 115.30 and ever since then it allows me to log in. At first I had to provide a validation code by logging in to my recovery email and I thought I'd have to do it after every reboot but so far I haven't had to do it again and I am finally able to access Yahoo.
Thanks for your help (rather than just telling me to get W11).

Sounds like it's time to upgrade. I have a laptop with Win7. Let me see what happens.

Really? I don't get it!
I have 115.29 and I have Malwarebytes premium.. made NO changes to settings/preferences in Windows, Firefox, antivirus, Yahoo etc. it just stopped allowing me to log in one day for no reason and I haven't been able to since.
(At first, 'help' asked if I had access to the address, I clicked yes, it sent me a code which I used another browser to log into to get, and after inputting it I was able to log in and out continously even after closing Firefox and restarting it.. but as soon as I restarted my computer it was back to square one.. but NOW even after going through those steps as soon as I finish entering the code I get that same error message.)

Did you try clearing the browser cache? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache#
As stated, it's the same in troubleshoot and all cache set to clear on close (I also cleared manually.) I started without Malwarebytes but it made no difference - if it were a Malwarebytes issue it would prevent me from logging in from all browsers but it's only on FF. I don't know if it started before or after the most recent FF update.. I'm baffled. How is it working for you and not me? I tried again today.. it doesn't even let me receive a code anymore - not to my recovery email or to the email I'm trying to sign in with - which it did at first.. Yet I can log in with chromium browser.
