when I open a new tab, the previously viewed sites do not display anymore, it only goes to yahoo with no other options available, how do i restore the options

firefox stopped displaying the previously vied pages when I click to open a new tab. It goes directly to the main yahoo webpage, which is not even my home page. I want to restore firefox to where it gives me options to choose from of the last pages i had open when I click to open a new tab.My Homepage(inbox at live.com) works correctly!

Try this:

  1. Enter about:config in the address bar, press Enter and accept the warning
  2. Search the line browser.newtab.url;about:newtab
  3. Double-click on the value (certainly something like https://www.yahoo.com/) and replace it with about:newtab
  4. Click on OK and close the tab
