[Call for help] Spanish-speaking contributors needed

    Hey folks,

    To make sure that users experience is consistent across different locales, we need your help to localize Firefox's in-product links & top articles into Spanish. If you speak (or understand Spanish), please consider helping us with updating/localizing the following articles:

    We would like to make sure to prioritize in-product links from the Firefox desktop. You can also see the complete list in the ES dashboard or the top articles page. Please be mindful to digest information from the dashboard, though. As the page is currently broken, the pageview number and article status might not reflect the current situation. You need to check the article directly to make sure.

    If you're new to article localization or just need to refresh your memory, you can watch this short tutorial that show you how you can localize an article in the Mozilla Support platform.

    I am a new contributor and would like to help. I'm wondering if the es locale leaders and reviewers are currently active? I was looking at the forum and it's been 3 years since content has been localized in es. Will there be anyone to review the edits or what does that process look like currently? Thanks!

    Thanks for jumping in this thread. The locale leader is currently inactive, indeed. But we do have a few reviewers who are still active. And we're also planning to restructure the locale team in the near future.

    It seems that you've localized an article already. Thank you so much for that! Let me know how do you like the process so far and if there's anything we can do to make it better. (:

    Since a few people requested it, I have created this short video tutorial to show how you can use the KB editor to localize an article in SUMO. I hope this is helpful and please let me know if you need more of this kind of video tutorial. I know our platform is a bit confusing for newbie, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you're unsure. There's no such thing as stupid question, so please don't be afraid to ask.

    Hi Martin, sorry if I'm replying in English. Other contributor reported the same thing to me so I submitted a bug report. In the meantime, can you try log out and then log in back to SUMO and let me know if it helps fix the issue? Also, thank you for your excitement to help. (:

    We have now gone to 30.6% completion of the in-product articles translation (it was 11.8% last week) and 76% completion rate on the Top 50 articles (it was 62% when we first started). Thank you so much for turning up during the weekend to help with this effort.

    As per today, I just removed duplicate articles and non-desktop articles from the Top 50 list, so now we have 12 more articles that are need updates from that list (and some more on the in-product list).

    Keep up the great work and please let me know if you need any kind of support from me.

    I'd like to give you an update on this. At the moment, we have fully translated 100% of Firefox desktop in-product articles with 71.8% are updated with the latest English version. When we started, 81% are translated and only 11.8% are updated with the latest English version.

    Additionally, we have also suceeded to translate 100% of the 50 articles with the most pageviews, with 82% are fully updated. For comparison, when we started, 96% are translated and 72% are fully updated with the latest English version.

    This can't be done without all your help! I gave shout outs in the Q4 recap blog post, but I'd like to highlight once again the importance of your role in this effort. We can't do this without you all. We will continue working on improving the locale group community health. In the meantime, I'd like you to take a moment to celebrate and be proud of what you have accomplished. Y'all are awesome and we're so grateful for your continued passion and enthusiast.
