On closing down firefox. My browsing history still remains.I have all the boxes ticked that need to be ticked to perform this.Settings also are all ticked and saved. it was all working fine 2 days ago. came back ontoday and stopped working. can any one help. Also my firefox icon/tile/shortcut in my taskbar has changed from firefox icon to being a white folder with top right coner folded over.Anyone have any ideas whats going on.

I've been annoyed recently to see the Firefox symbol on both my Desktop and in the taskbar and finding that there are two in the taskbar when I open one. The bottom line is that I seem to have completely obliterated Firefox as I'd had it set up! Can I restore my Firefox settings to where they were yesterday?

With last updates on firefox desktop..(2 last updates)..every update reset all my websites logins..I had to relogin again in all my websites..what happened?..is normal?..or error?

The first time i'm installing Firefox it quickly made me fall in love with this browser and wanted to fully migrate from Chrome to Firefox, it's more lightweight, has more customization, fully private & secure. But there is only one thing that made me just almost migrate to Firefox, or just 99% complete transitioning to Firefox, and that is me unable downloading. Yes, thats it and it's pretty annoying. I just able downloading pictures, but not when i'm downloading an apps or software like Discord for example. PLEASE HELP ME, MY LAPTOP (X240) IS VERY OLD AND I NEED EVERY PERFORMANCE ON MY LAPTOP FOR WORKSTATION PLUS WITH THIS RAM PRICES (ykwim). Tomorrow i'm planning to switch to Linux (Mint MATE) and i have to do dual-boot just incase there is some software i'm unable to use at Linux. So please, help me. Give each step with no technical explanation, and use beginner languange so i'm easier to understand.

Everytime i try to go on YouTube and click on a video, it says that "that specific content is unavailable", with every single video i try to watch. i tried using a different browser, like Chrome, and this doesn't happen with those videos, only with Firefox. I also tried switching search engines, but it seems as if it still doesn't work.

Today following a brief power outage I was no longer able to sign in to AOL with Firefox on my desktop computer. I am able to sign in to all other apps with no problem. I tried clearing my cache, restarted Firefox, restarted my computer and spent 30 minutes on remote desktop access assistance with AOL trying to fix the problem with no success. I can log in to my account using Chrome on the desktop computer and can log in with no problem using my Android phone but can't log in using my desktop computer with Firefox. I've verified that my Firefox version is updated. I am running Windows 11 Pro.

I would greatly appreciate any helpful advice.

I recently got a large (30") 4k monitor because I have been having trouble reading text. But Firefox has become practically unusable.

Some sites display with giant text, and I have to press ctrl-minus several times to fit them on the screen.

Meanwhile, the text in the Bookmarks bar, tabs, and URL window are unreadably small.

I tried about:config and layout.css.devPixelsPerPx, which currently seems to have a NEGATIVE value of -1.5. Per directions, I changed it to 1.5. NOTHING. NO CHANGE.

Then I found an endless series of possible fixes, all involving similarly opaque and obscure and user-unfriendly steps.

I might have to abandon Firefox, after all these years, over this. Anybody got a simple fix?

(I now see that I'm actually having the same problem in Windows Explorer, so maybe that's where I need to go to fix this.)

I'm using Windows 11 with the latest version of Firefox.

A few days ago I went to addictinggames.com and had no problem playing several games. Today I went there and every game I tried I received the following error "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."

Then I went to the site using Microsoft Edge and had no problems, every game I tried worked fine.

In Firefox I disabled both Adblocker Ultimate and Ghostery (My only extensions). Before I went to the site I deleted cookies and Temporary Internet Files and I still got the same error. Any ideas?

Updated Firefox browser on PC today and can no longer access my emails at https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/

Since accidentally deleting my current firefox profile, I have been experiencing a multitude of problems: Firstly, if it's possible to recover my profile file, that would fix all my problems. I currently have disk drill installed on my computer, so if there's any way to recover it please let me know. If that isn't possible, there are a few issues: 1: the top 3 buttons being shifted to the right (image 1 is what it looks like now, image 2 is what it used to be) 2: the color of the toolbar affected how other websites look(image 3) 3: all extensions being removed, though this was probably due to the deletion of the profiles

Just a question. When I clear the browsing data I always use the same options and clear from 12AM. The result is I have anywhere from 12-22 MB of remaining data. Why is there a difference?

Ill listen to some music in a tab, then ill pause it, go do something else, then randomly after a long time, an hour or 2 it will resume itself after the tab being in that closed group for so long

Since ages ago I've always logged into Firefox and turned on sync so whichever device I was on (or if I have formatted my PC) I would still have acces to my browser history, tabs etc. Today I've formatted my PC to switch from win 10 to win 11 and logged into firefox as usual, but after trying to Sync nothing happens. My tabs, my history, everything is empty for some reason and I cannot find my original device (the one from a few hours ago connected in win 10) in my connected devices list either.

Please help me, my whole life is in that sync :(
