Is there an about:config entry to toggle 'Seach Example.com for "selected text"' automaticaly switching to the tab it opens?

Whenever I see a word I don't know I automatically select it and search for it then immediately switch back to the previous tab because I want to finish reading it first, this is a bit annoying.

You can set the Boolean pref browser.search.context.loadInBackground to true on the about:config page.
