Firefox doesn't save new bookmarks after I close Firefox.

If I add a new bookmark Firefox doesn't remember the address to the site after I've exited Firefox. I have my history set to always save for 90 days, but it is only saved until I close Firefox. My history is wiped clean every time I reopen Firefox.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
