Installing an extension from mypoints.com
Trying to add an extension my mypoints.com, I have the site allowed for downloads but when I try, I receive a message that it is blocked from being downloaded.

It is most likely that your browser's built in safe browsing protection is overriding site permissions.
To fix this, first disable quarantined domains in firefox, by first going to about:config and Accept the Risk and Continue (use at own discretion.) After that, search for extensions.quarantinedDomains.enabled and double-click it (or toggle it) to set its value to false. Lastly, Restart Firefox and try downloading the extension again
Next, you can try allowing the extension to run. (if it wont run after download) to do so, go to about:addons page, Click on Extensions on the left menu.Find the MyPoints extension or click on it if it is listed.Look for the option labeled Run on sites with restrictions and change it to Allow.
Next, try incognito mode. and try to download the extension there. If it starts downloading/downloads,
Lastly, check if your antivirus software is blocking the extension.
The site is weirdly coded. They trigger the download on mypoints.com/download-score from another third–party host using a combination of frames, scripting etc. that appear to the browser as not requested by the user, so it's denied. (Feel free to tell their helpdesk they have to fix this.)
Instead of pushing the download button, right–click on it to Copy the address to the XPI link, and using a new window Paste it in the location to download it.
