This usually happens when the link is being opened outside of Firefox through WhatsApp’s in-app browser or system default handler.

You can try a few things:

Copy the link from WhatsApp and paste it directly into Firefox instead of tapping it. Check your phone’s default app settings and make sure Firefox is set as the default browser. In WhatsApp settings, enable “Open links externally” (if available) so it uses your default browser. Also try updating both Firefox and WhatsApp, as sometimes compatibility issues get fixed in updates.

Hmm, I recall a similar question (/questions/1579165), but I haven't been able to reproduce the issue in that case. Could you please try clearing cache and site data as I suggested there?
