I am a 25 year outlook user converting to Thunderbird. All my emails converted as per instructions here to 32-bit 38.8.0 and I am now trying to convert to 64-bit 78.3.2 or about that. How do I do it?

Updating from a very old version like 38 is best accomplished by first uninstalling 38 (doesn't affect your data in the separate profile folder), then downloading the full installer for 78. Report here if 78 doesn't recognize the existing profile.
