Question 1: How can I add an HTML signature file for an account in Thunderbird for Android by referencing a file on my phone? Or, something similar that will accomplish the same thing (i.e., HTML email .sig).

Background: In Thunderbird on my Desktop (currently using 140.10.1esr), I can go to Account Settings, select an email account, check the "Attach the signature from a file instead (text, HTML, or image):" and then "Choose..." a file I created on my local machine. My file is HTML (e.g., mysig.html) and references an image (in the same local directory). I want to replicate this in TBA.

Question 2: If there is no way to do this (the functionality is not purposefully there and there is no work-around to fool TBA into behaving properly), is there a place I can submit this request to the developers?

My grandson got on my computer and was messing around with my email. Now when I open Thunderbird I get a pop up window that says sign in with google to continue to Thunderbird. It has my grandson's Gmail address in it and asks for a password. I can X out of it and continue to Thunderbird but it will pop up several times while I am reading my email. Why is this happening and how do I get rid of this pop up window.

I'm using Thunderbird with an Office 365 business account via EWS.

I'm trying to reduce the amount of storage used on my local machine by setting the "Synchronization & Storage" setting to 3 months instead of downloading everything, but every time I change the setting it doesn't stick.

I'm on Thunderbird 150.0.1 (Windows).

Thunderbird forces me to use the new amount hub. And I get authentication error when trying to setup outlook.com email

I'm trying to remove a couple accounts that I no longer use in Thunderbird. A window keeps popping up asking for a password, but the mail service is no longer available. When I click on the red delete button for that account, nothing happens. I've deleted all the mail in one of them which I was able to do as I thought I might need to do that first, but I still can't delete it after that. The other one won't even let me delete the emails. How do I delete these so I stop getting asked to put in a password for accounts that are no longer valid and I don't want anymore?

I am a senior who has no desire to be in clouds, social media, etc. I have been using Thunderbird email on my laptop for about a year and a half now. Thank you for allowing me to keep my pop3 account, I have been very happy. I just want to have email on my phone because I like to get notice of email but I like to delete it and collect it on my laptop because it remains on the server. I periodically access the laptop and do all banking, etc. from there. Completely old school with local storage. Everything I have looked up said that I could still keep my pop3 account on my phone. I have a new Samsung A57 that I am trying to set up. The old phone had Outlook but it is locked out so I have to start from scratch. I thought I would rather do that with you than the others that seem to be taking all of our personal data over and leaving us no choice in how we would like to work. My email provider has transferred their services to a messaging service and I need to change accounts in Thunderbird from Pop 3 to IMAP. All the solutions I have found so far aren't working for me. Is it possible? This is starting to get pretty urgent as I have to change to the messaging service within the three days.

Your Mozilla account is used to access free privacy and browsing products like Firefox sync, Mozilla Monitor, Firefox Relay, and MDN. We noticed you haven’t signed in for 2 years. Just installed Thunderbird on Windows 11. Have two accounts: UN1@hotmail.co.jp and UN2@hotmail.co.jp. I created them in exactly the same way, but one of them works without problem, the other shows me "Command Error 12". After searching for a solution on the forum, I understand that none of the suggestions work. The error repeats. What can it be and is there a way to fix this error?

Hello from Sweden, and I'm sorry if any grammar or expression is incorrect.

All of a sudden login credentials is asked for (see attached image), for an old account that I've already (a couple of weeks ago) deleted both in Thunderbird and also on the server (on sethpylad.se). I always click the Cancel button when this comes up, but I don't understand this at all because when I try to send an email to the existing new account on the same server it all works as it should? So it seems like it only ask for credentials for the old/deleted account?

Is there any way I can change any setting to not be annoyed by this from here on?

I'm using a HP laptop. And on my desktop computer I can't really recall having this problem at all.

Edit: I just deleted an Address Book that was associated with that old account, but the problem prevails. /edit

the new "experimental" account center doesn't work (version 150.0) how can I go back to the precedent account creation tool ? the option "experimental account center" is NOT checked, but I still have only the new creation account form.
